We are Engaged !!!!! Again !!!!!!

Man Proposes, God Disposes…, in this case  the woman proposed and AMMA approved..,

A lovely Belle once asked “Why can’t it be Us…,” and the lad replied “Why Not?……”

Thus began a very torrid and emotional journey to AmritaPuri – a year back, to ask AMMA,

One year down the line, what we proposed to each other, God made it Happen, did we propose or was the divine hand of AMMA behind it all …,??

Arriving late and haggard to Amritapuri Ashram, normally you would find me running into the ashram, this time even before I could get off the car, Poorni had already spead to the darahsn hall.,

Lo and Behold at that late hour of the night, AMMA was giving darshan,  and she set off a wonderful chain of events, the best present and gift we could ever hope and something that still puts the both of us in extreme rapture of silence and bliss.

First miracle, no waiting in line, no seats to catch, no tokens to protect, just a wave of the hand and we found ourselves in line to receive darshan. In the same line, same chairs, same mischief way, as it happened a year back.

AMMA’s grace all around, AMMA’s smile and motherpresence enveloping us, as we settled to receive our darshan and hug, the Mahaishasura Mardhini stotram started. A few days back Poorni and I chanted a cuplet or two, at the stroke of midnight at AMMA’s photo and we found ourselves again singing the same in front of AMMA…,

With the giddy excitement of a three year old, with became more ferverent a s AMMA recogchized me and gave me a great big hug.

Poorni the more composed of the two, handed over our rings to AMMA, and the mother of the universe feigning total innocence, asks where the other ring was !!! With trembling hands and loosing complete focus of the whole world, we showed AMMA that they were shiva shakthi rings,

Time Froze, Thoughts Dropped, and only three existed, the Creatrix AMMA and the two halves she created yearning for her to complete her design. She asked Poorni to put the ring on my finger and me to do the same, except yours truly’s hands were trembling like frightened bunny rabbits.

AMMA let out a peal of laughter and made fun that I was already getting scared of the Missus..,

It was so perfect.., as we always had wanted it, only the three of us., no photos to capture the moment, no video, only AMMA, us ….and ,,,,,,,,

the thousand or so people getting mighty interested.., and the talking point of the ashram the next day.

AMMA then handed us heart shaped chocolates and asked us to feed each other., and showered flowers on our heads..,

Our AMMA blessed the bond, we do not wear rings anymore., we wear AMMA’s Prasad, the rings becoming divine with the touch and grace of our darling Mother.,

Later on in the night, as we stood on the balcony atop the 9th floor, AMMA took the form of the Sea, we could hear the waves and the feel the gentle breeze., and with totality we exchanged our vows..,

We are blessed, thrice blessed.., to have experienced and lived the miracle series of events that AMMA planned for us..,

With humble pranams to AMMA, we hope all our friends and family feel the complete and integral joy that flows from our being..,

IF ., BUT ., Can ., Will

IF ., is attached to imagination.,

and

BUT is attached to LImitation.,

understand the difference.,

IF is imagination., limitless.,

BUT is rooted in Limitation., it stops the expansion.,

If i had money.,

If i had listened.,

If only i had understood., all these are in the past.,

If i have money ., i will do this.,

If i listen., then it will help me.,

If i understand., i will be better off.,

the IF of the past is dangerous., the IF of the future can be constructive.,

Two varieties of IF., Past and Future., what to use for the present then?

you use IS.,

Is there money?

Is there understanding?

Is there learning?

can be better converted to.,

There IS money.,

There IS Understanding

There IS learning.,

it IS there., already., you just have to connect to it, to invite it in your life.,

buts ., are sometimes a problem., they are like handbrakes.,

i can do this.,

i can have money.,

i can heal myself.,

and if you place the word BUT i can ., but .., you killed i can.,

i can be rich .., but ., you killed i can

i can be healed., but ., you killed the can

so we learnt one thing.,

But can KILL .., and it Kills CAN., so how can you change?

you can-not change., will WILL change.,

I WILL have money

I WILL be healed.,

I WILL sleep peacefully at night

I WILL Get up refreshed.,

I WILL have an ideal body weight.,

I WILL be protected.,

look at CAN all the letters have downword strokes.,

will ., the letters move upwards.,

You WILL heal ., no buts allowed.,

You can heal ., but..,

IF of the future can be used correctly., or dangerously.,

IF of the past ., sometimes is a real pain.,

BUT can kill., only WILL remains.,

Here is the way., where is the WILL?

Love Without Attachment?

Rani asked Today.,

“…… attachment isn’t good I know ….
but love is such a beautiful feeling..,
and with that comes attachment with the wordly relations we have,
how can one not be attached to the one we love?
whether its our parents or partner or just simple loving someone for what they Are?”

AMMA Said ..,

Attachment is different from sense of belonging.,
where there is Love ., there is belonging.,
you offer yourself to the other.,

Attachment is different
you don’t offer., you fear.,
so you attach .,

Love is overpowering ., true., vital ., energetic., and encompassing
How can you attach ., to the water of the river or ocean ., you can only jump in it.,
Rain is not attached ., it belongs …, belongs to the process of showering

if you love., you do not fear.,
if you love., you do not possess.,
if you love ., you do not attach.,

when you love.,
when you love.,
when you love.,

you love.,
you radiate love.,
you spread the fragrance of bliss.,

you offer., you belong., you give up yourself to the energy of love.,
like Ghee blazes the Yagna ..,
You offer ., completely., and become the Flame.,

but be careful.,
No escape from love.,
How can you ???
Where can you hide.,??
How can you resist??
When the heart is ready to receive love.,
It will seek you out and make it a part of itself.,

Be Careful .,
but then when the heart is ready.,
there is no choice.,

Love Happens.,
Do not attach ., detach ., retract., retrace.,

Instead,
Love, Give, Belong, Laugh,
Overflow .,
Bliss ..,
Silence.,

Gift Ideas for Diwali – Love and Silence

Here is a lovely message that came for a Good Friend Rani, and putting it up for all to benefit,

One cannot force silence.,  Allow it to descend.,

Love and silence are not very different

Love cannot be manufactured., Silence cannot be manufactured.,
Love is a Happening ., so is silence

Both have the capacity to move you deeply
When you look at something grand or you look at something fantastic.,
You go silent in awe.,
When you are in love with someone or something.,
Then too ., a deep silence descends.,

Love and Silence., are the weave of the same cloth.,
one is horizontal ., one is vertical.,

both cannot be explained or theorized or classified.,
both can only be experienced.,

both overflow ., all around and others fortunate around you can get a glimpse.,
a sip of silence.,a taste of overflowing love
and then the same would happen to them.,

Why fill the world with chatter and confusion ?

This Diwali give the gift of love and silence
You need a lamp / light – and then only can you light multiple lamps and lights.,

similarly.,

You can only give love and silence.,
so give ., and make other people also ..,
ready.,
to experience the bliss of love and silence.,
and in doing so .,
they will be able to express it.,

Silence chooses on whom it has to descend ., and when .,
and when you are fortunate enough ., go into silence.,

it is safe.,
it is ok.,
do not worry.,

silence is like a mother.,
she is the mother.,
she knows how to take care of her child.,
and that silence is needed.,

So the child that is mothered – by silence.,
will become a mother.,
Mothering is not only a instinct restricted to the female of the species.,
once you are in silence and it overflows.,
You will nourish others with the silence.,
and you become a mother .,

because that is what a mother is .,
she nourishes and protects.,

silence will take away the dust and the grime
you are the same brilliant silver pot.,
but with silence ., you will be polished and become new again.,

why worry about changing who you are.,
why worry.,

you are that,…,
you are is.,
That is you , you

then why go how?
why go Who?

Go Now ..,
Go Wow .,

My Deepest Prayer,

From Meow,

Very few people know what I really ask for, ever since AMMA accepted me as her child – even before I had met her I always used to say a prayer to her. I was thunderstruck when a poem with similar tones was penned by a devotee of AMMA many decades ago, reading that poem today stirred a lot of feeling and emotion. Am posting it here for all to benefit,

When will I hear hear

the auspicious names of Kanna

sounding in my ears?

And upon hearing them

when will my hairs stand on end

and I will be immersed in tears?


Being immersed in tears

when will I become pure?

And in that state of absolute purity

when will I sing His Names

Spontaneously?


And as I sing in ecstasy

when will I forget the earth and the sky?

And forgetting everything

when will I dance

in utter devotion?

And as I dance, will my steps

sweep the stains

from the stage of the world?


In that playful dance

in which I sweep all stains away

I will cry out loud

And through that cry,

will my purity be sent

in the eight directions?


And when the play has been enacted

when will I fall at last

into my Mother’s Lap?

And lying in my Mothers Lap

when will I sleep blissfully?


As I sleep

when will I dream

of the beautiful form of Sri Krishna

who dwells within my heart?

And as i wake up

when will I see Sri Krishna

the Enchanter of the world?

I am again quietened, i feel connected again with my old and ancient prayer i have repeated again and again across many births,

And when the play has been enacted

when will I fall at last

into my Mother’s Lap?

And lying in my Mothers Lap

when will I sleep blissfully?
